Sinemet Ingredients

Each Sinemet 250/25 tablet contains:

  • 250 mg of Levodopa: converted into dopamine in the brain, which helps relieve symptoms of Parkinson’s disease.

  • 25 mg of Carbidopa: enhances the effect of Levodopa by slowing down its breakdown in the body, allowing it to work more efficiently.

Sinemet 250/25 Dosage

  • The doctor determines the appropriate dose depending on the patient’s condition.

  • The effect may begin within one day of treatment but may take up to 7 days to appear.

  • It is advised to take the medicine at regular times as directed by the doctor.

  • Usual dose: 1 tablet three to four times daily.

Sinemet 250/25 side effects

Sinemet may cause some side effects, such as:

  • Abnormal movements such as tremors or spasms.

  • Nausea.
