Ravildo 6.25 mg 30 tablets is a medication used to treat high blood pressure, prevent angina pectoris, and manage certain cases of heart failure.
Ravildo contains the active ingredient carvedilol, which lowers high blood pressure by acting on both alpha and beta receptors.
Ravildo is used in the following conditions:
Mild to moderate essential hypertension.
Chronic angina pectoris, for prevention.
Mild to severe heart failure, in combination with other medications.
The doctor determines the appropriate dose of Ravildo based on the patient's condition.
The usual daily dose ranges from 12.5 to 25 mg.
The doctor may increase the dose to a maximum of 50 mg daily, if needed.
Patients with heart failure are advised to take Ravildo with food.
Treatment with Ravildo is usually long-term; therefore, it should not be stopped abruptly, but gradually tapered off over several days.
Ravildo may cause some side effects, including:
Headache
Dizziness
Chest pain
Fatigue
Low blood pressure
Swelling of the arms and legs
Bronchitis
Pneumonia
Shortness of breath
Ravildo should not be used in the following cases:
Hypersensitivity to any of its components
Decompensated chronic heart failure (NYHA class II–IV) requiring intravenous inotropic therapy
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
Bronchial asthma
Allergic rhinitis
Cor pulmonale
Cardiac arrhythmias
Severe bradycardia
Symptomatic liver failure
Metabolic acidosis
Complicated myocardial infarction
Pheochromocytoma

Other heart medications
Blood pressure drugs
