Canesten vaginal cream how to use

• Wash hands thoroughly before and after use.

• For intravaginal use only, using the provided applicator.

• Fill the applicator (5g), then insert it gently as deep as comfortably possible into the vagina, preferably at bedtime.

• It is recommended to lie down immediately after insertion to minimize cream leakage. A panty liner may be used to protect clothing.

• Typically used as a single dose; however, a doctor may recommend repeating the treatment if necessary.

• Not recommended during menstruation; treatment should ideally be completed before your period begins.

• Consult a doctor if symptoms do not improve within 7 days, or if infections recur more than twice in 6 months.

Precautions and Warnings

Important Medical Precautions:

• Do not use if you are allergic to Clotrimazole or any of the product's ingredients.

• Consult a doctor if this is your first vaginal yeast infection or if you experience recurrent infections.

• Avoid using tampons, vaginal douches, spermicides, or other vaginal products during treatment.

• Avoid sexual intercourse during the treatment period and until the infection has fully cleared.

• The cream may reduce the effectiveness of latex condoms and diaphragms for up to 5 days after use.
