Why use Lutamax drop?

Lutemax drop is used to treat:

  • Conjunctivitis.

  • Keratitis.

  • Iritis.

  • Relieve eye inflammation after surgical procedures.

The drop is generally used to treat corticosteroid-responsive ocular inflammations.

Lotemax dosage

  • The doctor shall determine the appropriate dose.

  • One or two drops are placed in the infected eye 4 times daily after surgery, which is continued for two weeks.

  • The dose used may vary depending on the type of eye inflammation.

Lotemax side effects

Lotemax may cause some side effects, such as:

  • High intraocular pressure.

  • Low visual acuity.

  • Cataract.

  • Secondary eye infection.

  • Dry eye.

  • Itching and burning sensations.

  • Blurred vision.

Lotemax contraindications

Lutemax drop is not used in case of:

  • Allergy to any of the ingredients.

  • Viral infection in the eye.

  • Herpetic keratitis.

  • Fungal eye infection.

  • Mycobacterial infection.

  • pregnancy, where a drop of Lotemax contains substances harmful to embryos.

Lotemax precautions

  • Prolonged use of corticosteroids may result in glaucoma and damage to the optic nerve, decreased visual acuity, cataracts, or an increased risk of eye infection.

  • Lotemax is used carefully with glaucoma.

  • Used with extreme caution in case the patient has previously suffered herpes simplex.

  • A doctor should be consulted before using a Lotemax drop during the lactation period.
