Inhexa Injection Ingredients

Inhexa injections contain 4000 IU (40 mg)/0.4 ml of Enoxaparin Sodium. It is a Low Molecular Weight Heparin (LMWH) that acts as an anticoagulant through its anti-Factor Xa activity.

What is the Drug Inhixa 4000 used for?

Inhexa injections are used for:

  • Prevention of venous thromboembolism (VTE) in patients undergoing surgery with moderate or high risk, specifically orthopedic or general surgery, including cancer surgery.

  • Prevention of VTE in patients with acute medical illness (such as acute heart failure, respiratory insufficiency, severe infections, or rheumatic diseases) and reduced mobility, where the risk of venous thromboembolism is increased.

  • Treatment of Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) and Pulmonary Embolism (PE).

  • Extended treatment of DVT and PE and prevention of recurrence in patients with active cancer.

  • Prevention of thrombus formation in the extracorporeal circulation during hemodialysis.

  • Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) caused by coronary artery occlusion, alongside other medical treatments or interventions.

  • The doctor determines the appropriate dose of Inhexa according to the patient's condition.

  • It is administered via subcutaneous injection or intravenous injection under medical supervision.

Inhixa 4,000 Side Effects

  • Headache.

  • Bleeding (Hemorrhage).

  • Thrombocytopenia (low platelet count).

  • Increased liver enzyme levels.

  • Urticaria (hives).

  • Pain at the injection site.

Contraindications

Inhexa injections should not be used in cases of:

  • Hypersensitivity to its components.

  • History of immune-mediated heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT) within the last 100 days or in the presence of circulating antibodies.

  • Active bleeding or conditions that increase the risk of bleeding, such as gastrointestinal ulcers or recent hemorrhagic stroke.

  • Spinal or epidural anesthesia or loco-regional anesthesia when Enoxaparin Sodium has been used for treatment within the previous 24 hours.

Drug Interactions

Caution must be exercised before using Inhexa alongside other medications, especially:

  • Aspirin.

  • Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs).

  • Other anticoagulant medications.

  • Glucocorticoids.
