Crinone Gel uses

Crinone Gel is used to enhance progesterone levels in cases of infertility due to abnormal progesterone levels during the menstrual cycle, or in assisted reproductive techniques, to help improve the chances of pregnancy.

Crinone gel how to use?

  • Insert the contents using the Crinone applicator into the vagina once daily, starting from the day your doctor advises after ovulation, or on days 18–21 of the menstrual cycle.
  • Crinone gel after embryo transfer, it is applied from the day of embryo transfer; the gel should be inserted into the vagina once daily, preferably in the morning. Once pregnancy is confirmed through tests, Crinone Gel may be continued for 30 days to support the new pregnancy.

Crinone gel side effects

  • Crinone Gel may cause some side effects, such as:
  • Breast pain.
  • Bleeding between periods (spotting).
  • Irritation or mild reactions inside or around the vagina.

Contraindications of Crinone Vaginal Gel

Crinone Vaginal Gel should not be used in cases of:

  • Hypersensitivity to its ingredients.
  • Unexplained vaginal bleeding.
  • Porphyria.
  • Breast or genital cancers.
  • History of blood clots due to thrombophlebitis, vascular occlusion, or stroke.
  • Pregnancy with a dead fetus inside the womb (missed abortion).
  • Should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Warnings and Precautions

Consult your doctor before using Crinone Vaginal Gel, especially if you have:

  • Kidney or liver problems.
  • Heart problems.
  • Diabetes.
  • Asthma.
  • Epilepsy.
  • Recurrent migraine.
  • History of depression.

Storage Instructions
