Fortini Balance 400 g is a Food for Special Medical Purposes (FSMP) in the form of a neutral-flavored powder, designed for children aged 1 year and above to help meet nutritional requirements in cases of disease-related nutritional deficiencies, poor appetite, or growth problems. It features a complete, energy-dense nutritional formula, providing approximately 1.5 kcal per ml when prepared according to the recommended instructions. It can be added to drinks or certain foods without significantly affecting their taste. It is gluten-free and fiber-free.

Directions for Use

The doctor or dietitian should determine the appropriate daily amount based on the child's age, weight, nutritional status, and energy requirements.

For standard preparation at a 30% concentration:

• Add 5 level scoops of FORTINI powder, equivalent to approximately 30.5 g.

• Add the powder to 75 ml of liquid to prepare 100 ml of the finished product.

• Each scoop contains approximately 6.1 g of powder and provides approximately 30.1 kcal.

• The powder can also be added to certain drinks or foods, such as milk, yogurt, or soup, according to the doctor's instructions.

The product should be prepared according to the recommended instructions. Do not alter the concentration or amount of powder without consulting a doctor.

Precautions and Warnings

• Use under the supervision of a doctor or dietitian.

• Intended for children aged 1 year and above. Do not give to children under 1 year of age.

• Not suitable for use in cases of galactosemia.

• For oral use only. Do not administer by injection or parenteral nutrition.

• The child's fluid intake should be monitored to ensure adequate hydration.

• Contains milk-derived ingredients and soy lecithin; therefore, allergies to these ingredients should be taken into consideration.

Storage

• Store in a cool, dry place at a temperature not exceeding 25°C, away from sources of heat and moisture.

• Close the container tightly after each use.

• Once opened, use the contents within 4 weeks.

• The prepared product should be consumed within 2 hours if kept at room temperature.

• The prepared product may be stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.

• Do not use the product after the expiry date printed on the package.
