Scopinal Injection contains the active substance Hyoscine butyl bromide, an antimuscarinic, which relieves spasm of the digestive system, biliary or urinary system.

Scopinal Injection uses

Scopinal Injection is used to treat:

  • Gastrointestinal spasms.

  • Pylorospasm (the part between the stomach and the duodenum) in infants.

  • Vomiting and motion sickness after operations.

  • Irritable bowel syndrome.

  • Colon spasm.

  • Biliary colic.

  • Renal colic.

  • Spasms during dysmenorrhea.

  • Nocturnal enuresis.

Scopinal Injection dosage

  • Acute attacks of colic dosage: one injection 1 ml subcutaneous, intramuscular or intravenous, 3 - 4 times daily.

  • Children and infants dosage: in severe cases, 0.25 ml 3 times daily.

Scopinal side effects

  • Constipation.

  • Drowsiness.

  • Dry mouth and throat.

Scopinal contraindications

Scopinal injections are not used in case of:

  • Hypersensitivity to the ingredients of the drug.

  • Glaucoma.

  • Enlarged prostate.

  • Urine retention.
