What is loxoprofen sodium hydrate and what is it used for:

Loxoprofen is an anti-inflammatory drug in the group of propionic acid derivatives, which also includes ibuprofen, naproxen and others.

They are used:

• To relieve inflammation and pain in the following disorders and symptoms: rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, lower back pain, periarthritis of the shoulder, shoulder, arm and neck syndrome, toothache.

• To relieve pain and inflammation after surgery, after trauma or after exophthalmos

• For pain relief in the following disorders: acute upper respiratory tract infection and airway inflammation (including acute bronchitis and concomitant acute bronchitis).

Do not take loxoprofen sodium hydrate

Do not take loxoprofen if you have

• peptic ulcer

Severe blood disorders

Severe liver function disorders

• Severe renal impairment [Adverse reactions such as acute renal failure, nephrotic syndrome, etc. have been reported]

Severe failure in heart function [Cardiac symptoms may be exacerbated because inhibition of prostaglandin biosynthesis in the kidneys may cause edema and an increase in the volume of body fluids, with the consequent increase in the work of the heart.

• Having a history of hypersensitivity to any of its components.

• A history of aspirin-induced asthma (induction of an asthma attack with NSAIDs, etc.)

Warnings and precautions:

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine if:

• You have a history of peptic ulcers

• Have a history of blood disorders [because adverse reactions such as hemolytic anemia are prone to occur.]

• Have a history of liver function disorders

• Have a history of renal insufficiency

• Have a history of hypersensitivity

• bronchial asthma [where the disease may be exacerbated.]

• Ulcerative colitis [where the disease can be exacerbated.]

• You have Crohn's disease [where the disease can be exacerbated.]

Important adverse reactions

• Shock and anaphylactic symptoms: Shock and anaphylactoid symptoms have been reported with this drug. Patients should be carefully monitored during treatment.

• Hemolytic anemia, leukopenia and thrombocytopenia

Acute renal failure, nephrotic syndrome

• and interstitial nephritis

• Disorders of liver function and jaundice

Gastrointestinal bleeding

Gastrointestinal perforation

Congestive heart failure

Asthma attack

Other medicines and loxoprofen sodium hydrate

A large number of drugs can interact with this drug, which could dramatically change their effects. These medications include:

• Coumarin anticoagulants (eg, warfarin)

• Sulfonylureas (eg, tolbutamide) hypoglycemic agents.

• New quinolone antimicrobial agents, for example, Enoxacin hydrate

• Methotrexate

• Lithium preparations. (eg, lithium carbonate)

• Thiazide diuretics (eg, hydroflumethiazide, hydrochlorothiazide)

How to take loxoprofen sodium hydrate:

For rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis and for the relief of postoperative, post-traumatic or post-traumatic pain and inflammation: The usual adult dose is 60 mg of loxoprofen sodium (as anhydride) orally three times a day.

For acute upper respiratory tract infection and acute respiratory infection, the usual adult dose is 60 mg of loxoprofen sodium (as anhydride) once orally. Dosage may be adjusted according to the patient's age and symptoms. In principle, the maximum recommended daily dose of this drug is twice daily, and the total daily dose should not exceed 180 mg/day.

You should avoid using this medicine on an empty stomach.
