What is Arena Plus medicine?

A combination medicine containing two active ingredients, which lowers blood pressure:

Arbesartan: Angiotensin II receptor antagonist, which prevents narrowing of blood vessels, thereby reducing blood pressure and improving blood flow.

Hydrochlorothiazide: a thiazide diuretic, which usually prevents the absorption of sodium and water in the convoluted tubes, which helps the body to get rid of excess salt and water, lowering blood pressure by increasing urine production, so it is called a diuretic.

Hypertension for patients for whom monotherapy has not been successful in controlling blood pressure.

What are the contraindications for the use of Arena Plus?

It is forbidden to use the medicine without consulting the specialized doctor in the following cases:

Hypersensitivity to any of the components of the drug, especially sulfa compounds.

Pregnant, if pregnancy occurs during use, the drug should be discontinued immediately and consult a doctor, as the drug causes fetal malformations or fetal death, especially during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy.

Persons under 18 years of age.

What are the doses of Arena Plus and methods of use?

Initial dose: hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg / irbesartan 150 mg orally once a day.

Your doctor may increase your dose after 1-2 weeks.

Maximum dose: Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg / Irbesartan 300 mg, once a day.

How to use Arena Plus
