Clexane 8000 is used in:

Dosage and method of use

  • Clexane is used by subcutaneous injections by a doctor or nurse.

  • Clexane can be injected into the vein after some cases of heart attack or surgical procedures.

  • Clexane can be added to the arterial line at the beginning of the dialysis session.

  • Clexane is not injected into the muscle.

  • The doctor will determine the proper dosage.

Method of using Clexane injections in the abdomen

  • Choose an abdominal area on the right or left side, and it should be 5 cm away from the belly button.

  • Injections should not be within 5 centimeters or below the navel, and the drug should not be injected into bruising or scar areas.

  • It is recommended to swap between the right and left side of the injection, depending on which side you last injected.

  • Wash hands thoroughly before injection.
