Zympass – Dual Lipid Control Therapy, 30 Tablets
Zembas 20/10 mg is a medication combining Rosuvastatin 20 mg and Ezetimibe 10 mg. Used alongside an appropriate diet, it helps lower levels of bad cholesterol (LDL-C), total cholesterol, and triglycerides in adults with primary hypercholesterolemia or familial hypercholesterolemia. It is also indicated when statin monotherapy is insufficient to achieve targeted cholesterol control, or as a substitution therapy for patients already taking Rosuvastatin and Ezetimibe concurrently at the same dosages.

Directions for Use

If taking bile acid sequestrants, take Zembas at least 2 hours before or at least 4 hours after administration of the sequestrant.
Side Effects
Zembas may cause side effects, the most common of which include:

Headache.

Muscle pain or joint pain.

Constipation or nausea.

Abdominal pain or discomfort.

Elevated liver enzymes in some cases.

In rare cases, severe muscle injury such as rhabdomyolysis may occur, particularly in patients with risk factors. Consult a doctor immediately if you experience severe muscle pain or unexplained weakness accompanied by fever or dark urine.
Precautions and Warnings

Contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Do not use in patients with active liver disease or unexplained, persistent elevations in liver enzymes.

Inform your doctor if you have a medical history of muscle disorders, kidney disease, or hypothyroidism.

Drug Interactions
Zembas may interact with certain medications, most notably:

Cyclosporine.

Warfarin and other anticoagulants.

Gemfibrozil and other fibrates.

Certain antiretrovirals used for HIV or viral hepatitis.

Antacids containing aluminum or magnesium, as they may decrease the absorption of Rosuvastatin if taken simultaneously; doses should be separated.

Bile acid sequestrants, which may reduce the absorption of Ezetimibe if taken at the same time.
