Xeloda 500 mg Oral Tablets are used for the treatment of colorectal cancer, as well as advanced stomach (gastric) cancer and breast cancer.

Xeloda Ingredients

Each Xeloda tablet contains 500 mg of the active ingredient "Capecitabine," an anticancer medication belonging to the class of fluoropyrimidine analogues.

What is Xeloda 500 mg used for?

Xeloda 500 mg tablets are indicated for:

  • Adjuvant treatment for patients following surgery for Stage III colon cancer.

  • Treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer (cancer that has spread throughout the body).

  • First-line treatment for advanced stomach cancer in combination with platinum-based therapy.

  • Used in combination with Docetaxel for the treatment of patients with locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer after the failure of cytotoxic chemotherapy.

Dosage and Administration

  • The doctor determines the appropriate dosage based on the patient's medical condition, age, and weight.

  • Tablets must be taken with food.

  • Xeloda should be taken no later than 30 minutes after a meal.

  • Tablets should be taken at the same time every day.

Side Effects of Xeloda

Xeloda tablets may cause some side effects, including:

  • Diarrhea.

  • Nausea and vomiting.

  • Fatigue and exhaustion.

  • Abdominal pain.

Contraindications
