Xefo ingredients

Xefo contains the active substance "Lornoxicam" a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which helps alleviate inflammation and relieve pain.

Xefo uses

• Relieving moderate or severe pain.

• Relieve inflammation in osteoarthritis.

• Pain relief in case of rheumatoid arthritis.

Xefo Injection Dosage

• The doctor determines the appropriate dose of the Xefo injection.

• The usual dose is 8 mg (one injection) with intramuscular or intravenous injections.

• Maximum daily dosage is 16 mg (2 injections).

• Some patients may need an additional 8 mg in the first 24 hours.

Xefo side effects

• Gastric ulcers.

• Gastrointestinal bleeding (may be fatal especially in the elderly).

• Nausea.

Xefo contraindications

Xefo injections are not used in case of:

• Hypersensitivity to the ingredients of the drug.

• People younger than 18.

• Previously suffering from gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation as a result of taking non-steroidal anti inflammatory (NSAID).

Precautions

Care should be taken before using Xefo injections especially in the case of:

• kidney failure.

• liver failure.

• Blood clot disorders.

• Use the drug for more than 3 months.

• Older people.

Xefo and pregnancy

Xefo is not used during pregnancy especially in the last trimester.

Xefo and lactation

The drug may be transmitted through breast milk to the infant so Xefo should not be used during the breastfeeding period.
