Trajenta 5 mg tablets containing the active substance linagliptin are used to treat Type II diabetes mellitus, by maintaining a normal insulin content in the blood after eating. Trajenta for the treatment of diabetics is an oral medication that works by inhibiting the enzyme dipeptidyl peptidase - 4, which works to secrete insulin from beta cells in the pancreas, giving greater glucose control.

• Trajenta is used to treat Type II diabetics in addition to proper diet, exercise and sports activities.

Trajenta side effects

Some side effects occur as a result of a high or low blood sugar level, so the patient must be fully aware of the side effects so that he can deal with them immediately:

Symptoms of a low blood sugar level

• Vertigo.

• Blurred vision.

• Numbness of the feet, hands.

• Sudden sweating.

• Increased heart rate.

• Feeling of hunger.

Symptoms of high blood sugar level

• Sweating.

• Confusion.

• Drowsiness.

• Increased urination rate.

• Thirst.

• Rapid breathing.

• The mouth odor changes to a fruity-like smell.

Contraindications of trajenta 5 mg 

Trajenta tablets are not used to treat diabetics in the following cases:

• Hypersensitivity to one of the components of trajenta 5 mg tablets.

• Children and adolescents under 18 years of age.

• The incidence of diabetic ketoacidosis.

Precautions for the use of trajenta 5 mg

Trajenta tablets are used to treat diabetics in the following cases only after consulting a doctor:

• Pregnancy, lactation.

• Gallstones.

• Diseases of the pancreas.

• Heart disease.

• Low blood pressure.

• Diseases of the kidneys, liver.

• Diseases of the bladder.

• Before the surgical procedure.

Storage conditions

• Keep Trajenta tablets at a temperature below 25 degrees Celsius, out of the reach of children.
