Freestyle Libre Sensor ( Flash Glucose Monitoring System )
The FreeStyle Libre 2 is a continuous flash glucose monitoring system designed to track your glucose levels day and night. It utilizes a small, discreet sensor worn on the back of the upper arm that continuously measures glucose levels in the interstitial fluid. This system allows you to monitor your sugar levels without the need for routine, painful fingerpricks in most situations. Each sensor can be worn for up to 14 days, and readings are easily accessed via the dedicated reader or a compatible smartphone application.

Precautions and Warnings
Important Clinical Note: Do not rely solely on the system during rapid glucose fluctuations (e.g., right after eating, dosing insulin, or heavy exercise) as interstitial fluid readings can lag behind blood glucose levels. Always perform a traditional fingerprick blood test if your symptoms do not match the system's sensor readings.
-
This device does not replace regular medical check-ups and professional diabetes care.
-
Medical Imaging Warning: You must remove the sensor before undergoing an MRI, CT scan, or any similar high-frequency medical imaging procedures.
-
Always use the device exactly in accordance with the manufacturer's instruction manual and your healthcare provider's advice.
-
If severe skin irritation, redness, or allergic reactions occur at the application site, consult your doctor.
