Rhophylac 300 Anti-D is used to prevent the formation of antibodies against the Rh factor in the blood of women, for prophylaxis during pregnancy or after delivery in cases of Rh-incompatible pregnancies.
Indications for Use of Rhophylac 300
Rhophylac anti d injection is used to prevent the formation of antibodies against the Rh factor in the blood in cases of:

Pregnancy and obstetric conditions in non-sensitized Rh-negative women with an Rh-incompatible pregnancy (Rh-positive fetus). This includes routine antepartum Rh prophylaxis, as well as prophylaxis after delivery, in case of obstetric complications, or when invasive procedures are required.

Incompatible blood transfusions in Rh-negative individuals who receive blood components containing Rh-positive red blood cells.
Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP): Rhophylac injections are also used to raise platelet counts in Rh-positive, non-splenectomized adults with chronic ITP.
Dosage and Administration
Anti d injection dose during pregnancy and obstetric

Route: Intravenous (IV) or intramuscular (IM).

Routine antepartum prophylaxis: A single dose of 300 mcg at 28–30 weeks of pregnancy.

Postpartum prophylaxis: A single dose of 300 mcg within 72 hours after delivery.

Obstetric complications or invasive procedures: 300 mcg within 72 hours of the complication or intervention.
Dosage for Incompatible Blood Transfusions

20 mcg per 2 mL of Rh-positive whole blood transfused, or per 1 mL of Rh-positive red blood cells.
Dosage for Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP)

50 mcg per kg of body weight, administered intravenously at a rate of 2 mL every 15–60 seconds.

Rhophylac 300 may cause some side effects, such as:

Contraindications
Rhophylac injection should not be used in cases of:

Hypersensitivity to its components.

Anemia in patients with Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP).
