Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How effective is the Papilocare gel?
Clinical studies have shown that Papilocare gel may help support the healing of low-grade cervical lesions associated with Human Papillomavirus (HPV) infection. It may also contribute to increasing the clearance rate of the virus compared to watchful waiting without treatment in certain cases. In one study, a 6-month treatment course achieved improvement in low-grade lesions in a higher percentage of patients, with a high-risk HPV clearance rate reaching 63% compared to 40% in the control group.
However, Papilocare is not a direct cure for the HPV virus itself. Instead, it works by supporting the repair of the cervical mucosa and creating an environment that helps the body clear the virus naturally. Furthermore, its use does not replace regular medical follow-ups and recommended cervical screenings.
How long should I use Papilocare?
The standard treatment duration is 6 months, following this regimen:
-
Month 1: One cannula daily for 21 consecutive days, then pause during menstruation.
-
Months 2 to 6: One cannula every other day for 21 days each month, pausing during menstruation.
Your doctor may recommend extending the treatment up to 12 months if the HPV infection persists or if the cervical changes have not improved after the initial 6 months, based on test results and medical follow-up.
