Nurtec tablets contain the active ingredient Rimegepant, which blocks the activity of a substance known as CGRP (Calcitonin Gene-Related Peptide), a molecule found at elevated levels in people with migraines.
Nurtec sublingual tablets are used for:
Treating migraine attacks
Reducing the number of migraine episodes when taken as a preventive measure
To treat a migraine attack: One 75 mg tablet per day
To prevent migraines: One 75 mg tablet every other day
Do not take more than one tablet per day
Place the tablet under or on the tongue and allow it to fully dissolve.
Nurtec may cause some side effects, including:
