Moviprep sachets for colon cleansing and gastrointestinal preparation prior to procedures such as colonoscopy.

Moviprep Sachets Uses

Moviprep sachet is used for colon cleansing before any clinical procedures requiring it, such as colonoscopy or x-ray imaging of the colon.

Moviprep dose for preparation

• The treatment course consists of 2 liters of Moviprep, and it is recommended to take an additional 1 liter of clear fluids (such as water or clear broth) during treatment.

• One liter of Moviprep is prepared by dissolving one “Sachet A” and one “Sachet B” together in water to make 1 liter.

• The solution should be consumed within 1–2 hours after preparation.

• This should be repeated with a second liter of Moviprep to complete the treatment course.

• The dose may be split by taking 1 liter in the evening before the procedure, and 1 liter in the early morning of the procedure day.

• Alternatively, the full dose may be taken either as 2 liters on the evening before the procedure or 2 liters on the morning of the procedure.

Side Effects of Moviprep

Moviprep may cause some side effects, such as:

• Sleep disturbance.

• Dizziness.

• Headache.

• Vomiting.

• Indigestion.

• Abdominal pain.

• Nausea.

• Fever.

• Thirst.

Contraindications

Moviprep sachets should not be used in cases of:

• Hypersensitivity to its components.

• Gastrointestinal obstruction or perforation.

• Gastroparesis.

• Intestinal paralysis (ileus).

• Phenylketonuria.

• Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency (G6PD deficiency).

• Toxic megacolon.

• Children and adolescents under 18 years of age.

Warnings and Precautions

Caution should be exercised before using Moviprep sachets, particularly in patients with:

• Severe renal impairment.

• Heart failure.

• Risk of cardiac arrhythmias.

• Dehydration.

• Severe acute inflammatory disease.

• Thyroid disorders.

• Pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Moviprep Powder Composition

Sachet A contains:

• 100 g Macrogol 3350

• 7.5 g Anhydrous sodium sulfate

• 2.691 g Sodium chloride

• 1 g Potassium chloride

Sachet B contains:

• 4.7 g Ascorbic acid

• 5.9 g Sodium ascorbate

Storage Instructions

• Keep out of the reach of children.

• Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.
