Description

Metoject 10Mg / 0.2Ml Methotrexate is an injection used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, as well as psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis, especially when other treatments have failed to control psoriasis.

Metoject Injection Ingredients

Metoject pre-filled syringes contain the active substance "Methotrexate," which inhibits several enzymes, helping to reduce inflammation and prevent cell division.

What are the uses of Metoject injections?

Metoject pen is used for the treatment of:

  • Active rheumatoid arthritis in adults.

  • Severe, treatment-resistant psoriasis that prevents the practice of normal daily life; this type of psoriasis does not respond to other forms of treatment, such as phototherapy and retinoids.

  • Severe psoriatic arthritis in adults.

How to use Methotrexate (Metoject) injection?

  • Methotrexate injections are administered subcutaneously (under the skin) once a week.

  • The medication must be used according to the doctor's directions.

  • The doctor determines the appropriate dose based on the patient's condition; it usually takes 4 - 8 weeks for the treatment effect to appear.

  • Using this medication in large doses is fatal, so the dose prescribed by the doctor must be strictly followed.

  • Metoject is not used for children younger than 3 years old.
