Luttagen 0.075/0.03 mg 21 tablets, a combined oral contraceptive; taken for 21 consecutive days to achieve its contraceptive effect.
Each Luttagen tablet contains:
0.075 mg of Gestodene
0.03 mg of Ethinyl Estradiol
Luttagen prevents pregnancy by:
Inhibiting the release of eggs from the ovaries.
Increasing the thickness of cervical mucus, which hinders sperm movement.
Luttagen tablets are used for contraception in women.
The recommended dose is one tablet daily for 21 days.
Tablets must be taken at the same time each day.
The tablets are not taken during the remaining seven days of the menstrual cycle.
After that, the 21-day cycle is repeated if continued contraception is desired.
Luttagen may cause some side effects, such as:
Nausea
Vomiting
High blood pressure
Amenorrhea
Melasma
Headache
Breast pain
Luttagen tablets should not be used in cases of:
Hypersensitivity to any of its components
Blood clotting disorders or thromboembolic events
Coronary artery disease
Estrogen-dependent cancers, such as breast cancer or cancers of reproductive organs
Unexplained vaginal bleeding
Jaundice associated with oral contraceptive use
Liver cancer
