Esopole 40mg Gastro Protection Capsules is indicated for the treatment of Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), as well as gastric and duodenal ulcers caused by H. pylori infection in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older.

Esopole Ingredients

Each tablet contains 40 mg of Esomeprazole, a Proton Pump Inhibitor (PPI) that effectively reduces the secretion of stomach acid.

What is the use of Esopole 40 mg capsules?

For Adults and Adolescents (12+ years):

  • Treatment of Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD).

  • Treatment of gastric and intestinal ulcers associated with H. pylori infection.

For Adults only:

  • Treatment of gastric ulcers associated with Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs).

  • Management of Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome (a condition involving excessive stomach acid secretion).

  • Prolonged treatment for the prevention of re-bleeding of gastric ulcers following intravenous (IV) esomeprazole therapy.

Esopole 40 mg Dosage

  • Standard Dosage: 20 mg to 40 mg daily for 4 to 8 weeks, as determined by the physician.

  • Administration: Tablets can be taken at any time of the day, with or without food.

Esopole 40 mg Side Effects

Esopole may cause side effects, including:

  • Headache.

  • Diarrhea or Constipation.

  • Nausea or Vomiting.

  • Abdominal pain.

Contraindications

Do not use Esopole in the following cases:

  • Hypersensitivity to esomeprazole or any of the product's ingredients.

  • Concurrent use of medications containing Nelfinavir.

  • History of severe skin rash, peeling, blisters, or mouth sores after taking esomeprazole or similar medications.

  • During breastfeeding.

  • Children under 12 years of age.

Warnings and Precautions

Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking Esopole, especially if you have:

  • Severe kidney problems.

  • Severe liver problems.

  • Pregnancy.

Drug Interactions

Inform your doctor of all medications you are taking, particularly:

  • Epilepsy medications.

  • Blood thinners (Anticoagulants).
