Debrex Ingredients

Debrex contains 0.5 mg of the active ingredient "Brexpiprazole," an atypical antipsychotic. It works by modulating dopamine and serotonin activity in the brain to treat certain psychiatric disorders.

Uses of Debrex Tablets

  • Adjunctive Treatment for Depression: Used in combination with an antidepressant in adults who have not responded adequately to antidepressant treatment alone (major depressive disorder). The doctor determines the initial dose, which typically ranges from 0.5 to 1 mg daily, and adjusts it gradually based on the patient's response.

  • Schizophrenia: Used to treat and control symptoms in adults and adolescents aged 13 years and older.

  • Agitation Associated with Alzheimer's Disease: Used to treat agitation caused by dementia associated with Alzheimer's disease.

Dosage of Debrex Tablets

  • The recommended starting dose is 1 mg from day 1 to day 4.

  • Based on the patient's response, the physician may increase the dose to 2 mg from day 5 to day 7, then to 4 mg on day 8.

  • The recommended daily maintenance dose ranges between 2 - 4 mg once daily.

  • The maximum daily dose allowed is 4 mg.

Debrex Side Effects

  • Weight gain.

  • Nausea.

  • Drowsiness (Somnolence).

  • Restlessness (Akathisia).

Contraindications

Debrex should not be used in the following cases:

  • Hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients.

Warnings and Precautions
