Cozaar 50 mg is a medication containing the active ingredient Losartan Potassium. It belongs to a class of drugs known as angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs). It works by relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow, which helps lower blood pressure and reduce the workload on the heart. It is also used to help protect the kidneys in patients with type 2 diabetes who suffer from nephropathy, and it contributes to reducing the risk of stroke in certain patients with hypertension and left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH).

What is COZAAR 50 mg used for?

Cozaar 50 mg is used in the following cases:

  • Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) in adults and children aged 6 to 18 years.

  • Reducing the risk of stroke in certain patients with high blood pressure and left ventricular hypertrophy.

  • Protecting kidney function in patients with type 2 diabetes who have diabetic nephropathy.

How to Use Cozaar 50 mg
