Cerazette contains the active ingredient desogestrel 75 micrograms, a progestin that helps prevent pregnancy by inhibiting ovulation and increasing cervical mucus thickness, which hinders sperm movement.

Cerazette tablets are used for contraception in women.

Cerazette Pill How to Take

  • Cerazette tablets should be taken in the order shown on the blister pack.

  • They must be taken at the same time each day.

  • Take one tablet daily for 28 consecutive days.

  • Start the next pack immediately after finishing the previous one.

  • If no hormonal contraceptive was used before, Cerazette should be started on the first day of the menstrual cycle; starting on days 2–5 is allowed, but during the first cycle, a barrier method (such as a condom) is recommended for the first seven days of tablet-taking.

Cerazette may cause some side effects, such as:

  • Decreased libido

  • Headache

  • Nausea

  • Irregular or absent menstrual periods

Contraindications of Cerazette
