Bonteo Teriparatide Injection 20Mcg 80Microliter is used to treat osteoporosis in men and postmenopausal women, as well as those receiving certain treatments associated with osteoporosis.

Bonteo Injection Ingredients

Each 80 microliters contains 20 micrograms of the active ingredient "Teriparatide." It increases the apposition of new bone on trabecular and cortical bone surfaces by preferential stimulation of osteoblastic activity over osteoclastic activity, thereby treating osteoporosis.

What are the uses of Teriparatide injection?

Bonteo Teriparatide injections are used for:

  • Treating osteoporosis in postmenopausal women and in men at high risk of fractures.

  • Treating osteoporosis in men or women receiving glucocorticoid therapy who are at an increased risk of fracture.

How to use Bonteo Pens?

  • It is administered via subcutaneous injection in the abdomen or thigh.

Bonteo Dose

  • The usual dose is 20 micrograms once daily.

  • The maximum duration of treatment with Bonteo is 24 months; the treatment course should not be repeated.

Side Effects of Bonteo Injection

  • Anemia.

  • Shortness of breath (dyspnea).

  • Increased blood cholesterol levels.

  • Depression.

  • Headache.

  • Dizziness and vertigo.

  • Nausea and vomiting.

  • Pain in the extremities (limbs).

  • Palpitations.

  • Hypotension (low blood pressure).

Contraindications

Bonteo Teriparatide injections should not be used in cases of:

  • Hypersensitivity to its components.

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding.

  • Pre-existing hypercalcemia (high blood calcium levels).

  • Severe renal impairment (kidney failure).

  • Metabolic bone diseases (such as hyperparathyroidism and Paget’s disease of bone) other than primary osteoporosis or glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis.

  • Unexplained elevation of alkaline phosphatase levels.

  • Malignant skeletal tumors or bone metastases.

  • Prior external beam or implant radiation therapy to the skeleton.

Drug Interactions

Caution should be exercised before using Bonteo Teriparatide if you are taking other medications, especially:

  • Digoxin.

  • Thiazide diuretics.

Storage and Handling

  • Keep out of reach of children.

  • Store in the refrigerator at a temperature between 2°C and 8°C.

  • Return to the refrigerator immediately after use.

  • Do not freeze.

  • Do not store the device with the needle attached.
