Asacol 500 mg Suppositories Dosage

The usual dose is one suppository inserted into the rectum up to 3 times daily, with the final dose taken before bedtime.

Empty the bowels (if necessary) and wash your hands thoroughly.

Remove the plastic wrapper from the suppository.

Adopt a squatting position or lean forward.

Gently insert the suppository into the rectum; if necessary, the tip of the suppository may be lubricated with petroleum jelly.

Wash your hands again.

Try to avoid having a bowel movement for at least one hour after inserting the suppository.
