Artelac Complete MDO Eye Drops (10ml): Deep Dive into Relief
Active Ingredients:
Hyaluronic Acid (0.24%): This natural lubricant mimics the tear film's middle layer, attracting and retaining moisture for long-lasting hydration.
Carbomer: This thickening agent creates a protective shield on the eye surface, further slowing down tear evaporation and enhancing lubrication.
Glycerin: This humectant draws moisture from the surrounding air to keep the eye surface hydrated.
Lipid Complex: This combination of phospholipids and triglycerides mimics the outer layer of the tear film, preventing tears from spilling over and causing watery eyes.
Dosage Form:
Sterile solution in a multidose bottle with preservative-free, single-use applicators.
Type of Dosage:
Topical eye drops – 1-2 drops per eye, up to 6 times daily.
Mechanism of Action:
Replenishes and mimics all three layers of the tear film for optimal eye surface lubrication and hydration.
Protects the eye from tear evaporation and reduces watery eyes.
Soothes and relieves symptoms of dry eye, such as burning, irritation, grittiness, and fatigue.
Therapeutic Indications:
Dry eye syndrome (mild to moderate)
Watery eyes (caused by dry eye)
Discomfort associated with contact lens wear
Eye irritation due to environmental factors (wind, dry air, computer screens)
Method of Administration:
Wash your hands thoroughly.
Tilt your head back and look upwards.
Gently pull down your lower eyelid to create a pouch.
Squeezing the applicators gently, release 1-2 drops into the pouch.
Close your eye and gently roll your eyeball in all directions to spread the drops.
Repeat for the other eye if needed.
Discard the used applicator.
Non-Pharmacological Treatments & Advice:
Blink frequently: Regular blinking helps distribute tears evenly over the eye surface.
Use a humidifier: Adding moisture to the air can help prevent tear evaporation.
Reduce screen time: Staring at screens for extended periods can dry out your eyes. Take breaks and follow the 20-20-20 rule (look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds every 20 minutes).
Protect your eyes from wind and dust: Wear sunglasses outdoors and consider protective eyewear in windy or dusty environments.
Avoid irritants: Smoke, pollution, and certain medications can irritate your eyes. Try to minimize exposure to these triggers.
Maintain a healthy lifestyle: Eating a balanced diet, getting enough sleep, and managing stress can all contribute to good eye health.
