ENABLEX 7.5 MG 28 TAB

Mechanism of action: Muscarinic acetylcholine receptor antagonist

Therapeutic indications:

Overactive bladder with symptoms of urge urinary incontinence, urgency, and frequency

Method of administration:

Swallow whole with water

Do not crush, chew, or cut the tablets

Take once daily, with or without food

Non-pharmacological treatments & advice:

Drink plenty of fluids, but avoid caffeine and alcohol, as these can irritate the bladder

Empty your bladder regularly, even if you don't feel the need to urinate

Avoid bladder irritants, such as spicy foods and acidic drinks

Kegel exercises can help to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles, which can help to reduce urinary incontinence

If you are taking Enablex, it is important to tell your doctor about any other medications you are taking, as there may be potential drug interactions. You should also tell your doctor if you have any other medical conditions, such as kidney disease, liver disease, or glaucoma.

Here are some additional tips for managing overactive bladder:

Avoid smoking, as this can irritate the bladder

Lose weight if you are overweight or obese, as this can put additional pressure on the bladder

Manage stress, as stress can worsen OAB symptoms

Talk to your doctor about other treatment options, such as bladder training or surgery
