Voltaren Injection Ingredients

Each Voltaren ampoule contains 75 mg of Diclofenac Sodium, an active ingredient that acts as an analgesic and anti-inflammatory agent.

Voltaren 75 mg Injection Uses

Voltaren is administered via intramuscular (IM) injection as acute initial therapy for:

• Inflammatory and degenerative forms of rheumatism: Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis.

• Painful post-traumatic and post-operative inflammation and swelling.

• Acute attacks of gout.

• Painful syndromes of the vertebral column (spinal pain).

• Non-articular rheumatism.

Intravenous (IV) administration: Used for the treatment or prevention of post-operative pain in a hospital setting.

Voltaren Injection Dosage for Adults

• The appropriate dose is determined by a physician.

• Side effects may be minimized by using the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary.

• Duration of use: Voltaren injection should not be used for more than two days in adults.

Route of Administration: IM or IV?

Voltaren can be administered via intramuscular (IM) or intravenous (IV) routes. For IV use, Voltaren must be diluted with 0.9% saline or 5% glucose solution (buffered with sodium bicarbonate as per instructions) before being administered as a intravenous infusion.
