Valip contains the active ingredient "Pitavastatin," which inhibits the "HMG-CoA Reductase" enzyme responsible for cholesterol synthesis. This results in reduced production and lower levels of bad cholesterol (LDL) in the blood.
Valip Uses
Valip is used for:

Lowering high total cholesterol and bad cholesterol (LDL) in adults.

Adolescents and children aged 6 years or older with primary hypercholesterolemia, especially when response to diet and other treatments has been inadequate.
Dosage of Valip

The patient must follow a low-cholesterol diet before starting treatment and continue it throughout the treatment period.

The starting dose is 1 mg once daily; dosage adjustments can be made every 4 weeks.

The maximum daily dose is 4 mg only.

The medication can be taken at any time of the day, with or without food.
