Trandate 100 mg – 100 Tablets is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) in pregnant women. It is also used to prevent chest pain associated with angina pectoris.

Trandate Ingredients

Each Trandate tablet contains 100 mg of the active ingredient Labetalol Hydrochloride. It is a beta-blocker that reduces the heart rate and helps lower high blood pressure and prevent angina.

What is Trandate 100mg used for?

Trandate tablets are used for the treatment of:

  • High blood pressure (Hypertension).

  • Hypertension in pregnancy.

  • Angina pectoris (with or without high blood pressure).

  • Long-term management of hypertension following a heart attack.

What is the dosage of Trandate 100 mg?

  • The physician determines the appropriate dose based on the patient's condition.

  • The usual starting dose is 100 mg twice daily, which the physician may increase if necessary.

  • It should be taken with food.

Side Effects

Trandate tablets may cause some side effects, such as:

  • Headache and dizziness.

  • Fatigue.

  • Hypotension (low blood pressure).

  • Hair loss.

  • Hyperkalemia (increased potassium levels in the blood).

Contraindications

Trandate tablets should not be used in cases of:
