How to use PENTASA sachet?

• Take granules orally as directed by your physician.

• Empty the contents of the sachet directly onto the tongue and swallow with or without water. Do not chew or crush the granules.

• Dosage varies according to clinical status:

• Active disease: Up to 4 g daily, taken either once daily or in divided doses.

• Maintenance of remission: The usual dose is 2 g once daily.

• Adhere strictly to the prescribed dosage schedule and do not discontinue treatment without consulting your doctor, even if symptoms improve.

What are the common PENTASA side effects?

Pentasa may cause side effects, the most common of which include:

• Headache

• Abdominal pain or cramps

• Nausea or vomiting

• Diarrhea or flatulence

Rare but serious side effects may occur, including:
