Nurofen Ingredients

Each tablet contains 400 mg of Ibuprofen, a Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug (NSAID) that reduces inflammation and provides pain relief.

What is Nurofen 400 mg Used for?

Nurofen tablets are used to reduce fever and treat mild to moderate pain, including:

  • Headache.

  • Toothache.

  • Dysmenorrhea (period pain).

  • Muscle pain.

  • Backache.

  • Cold and flu symptoms (pain and fever).

Nurofen 400mg Dosage for Adults

  • Nurofen is intended for short-term use only.

  • Adults and children over 12 years: 1 tablet up to 3 times daily.

  • Maintain an interval of at least 4 hours between doses.

  • Do not exceed 3 tablets within 24 hours.

  • Consult a physician if symptoms do not improve after 3 days.

Nurofen 400 mg Side Effects

Nurofen may cause some side effects, including:

  • Dyspepsia (indigestion).

  • Abdominal pain.

  • Diarrhea.

Contraindications

  • Intolerance to certain sugars, such as fructose.

  • Pregnancy.

  • Children under 12 years of age.

Warnings and Precautions

Consult your physician before taking Nurofen, especially in cases of:

  • High blood pressure (Hypertension).

  • Heart disease.

  • Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE).

  • Diabetes.

  • Advanced age (Elderly patients).
