When a medical condition requires limiting long-chain triglycerides (LCT), choosing appropriate nutritional support is essential. Monogen Powdered Milk by Nutricia is specifically formulated for this purpose, providing complete and balanced nutrition for infants, children, and adults under medical supervision. Monogen is rich in medium-chain triglycerides (MCT), and contains whey protein, carbohydrates, and fats, along with a comprehensive range of vitamins, minerals, and trace elements. It also provides essential fatty acids, including DHA and AA.

Why Monogen?

  • Low in long-chain triglycerides (LCT) and rich in medium-chain triglycerides (MCT), which are easier to digest and absorb.

  • Contains complete whey protein to support growth and meet the body's protein requirements.

  • Provides a complete combination of carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, and trace elements.

  • Contains DHA and AA, essential fatty acids important for brain and visual development.

  • Provides the minimum required amount of essential fatty acids through walnut oil.

  • Can be used as the sole source of nutrition for infants only, and as part of supplementary nutrition for children over 1 year of age and adults, as directed by a physician or dietitian.

  • Easy to prepare using the included scoop and can be consumed orally or through an enteral feeding tube.

Suitable for Nutritional Support in Conditions Such as:

  • Long-chain fatty acid oxidation disorders.

  • Type I hyperlipoproteinemia.

  • Chylothorax.

  • Chylous ascites.

  • Certain conditions involving fat malabsorption.

  • Certain lymphatic disorders, such as intestinal lymphangiectasia.

Directions for Use

  • The amount of Monogen and the appropriate dilution should be determined by a physician or dietitian according to the patient's age, weight, and medical condition.

  • To prepare at the recommended concentration, use approximately 3 level scoops (16.8 g) with 90 ml of water to obtain approximately 100 ml of ready-to-use feed.

  • Follow the preparation instructions carefully and do not change the concentration without medical advice.

Preparation Instructions

  1. Wash your hands thoroughly, clean the preparation surface, and sterilize the feeding bottle or cup properly.

  2. Boil fresh water for 5 minutes or until the electric kettle switches off automatically, then allow it to cool for at least 30 minutes until it is warm when tested on the wrist, at approximately 40°C.

  3. Pour the required amount of water into the sterilized feeding bottle.

  4. Fill the included scoop with powder and level it using a clean, dry knife. Do not press the powder into the scoop, and use only the scoop provided with the product.

  5. Add the specified number of scoops to the water, close the bottle, and shake well until the powder is completely dissolved and thoroughly mixed.
