Innohep 14,000 IU Injection is an anticoagulant used to treat blood clots, such as deep vein thrombosis in the leg or pulmonary embolisms. It helps prevent the formation of further clots.

Ingredients

Each 0.7 ml Innohep syringe contains 14,000 units of the active ingredient Tinzaparin Sodium per 0.7 ml of solution. It belongs to a group of medicines called Low Molecular Weight Heparins (LMWH), which help prevent blood coagulation.

Indications: What is Innohep used for?

Innohep 14,000 IU injections are used to treat:

  • Serious blood clots formed in deep veins within the body, such as Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) in the leg.

  • Serious blood clots that travel through the bloodstream and get lodged in another artery, such as a Pulmonary Embolism (PE), which can cause breathing difficulties.

Innohep 14000 Syringe Administration and Dosage

  • Innohep is administered via subcutaneous injection (under the skin).

  • The appropriate dosage is determined strictly by a physician.

Innohep Side Effects

Innohep injections may cause some side effects, including:

  • Pale skin and weakness.

  • Pain, swelling, or redness at the injection site.

  • Red or brown urine.

  • Dark/tarry stools.

  • Unusual bruising.

  • Bleeding that does not stop from the mouth, nose, or any wound.

Contraindications

Do not use Innohep injections in the following cases:

  • Hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or any of the excipients.
