Ingredients of Glodep Capsules

Glodep capsules contain 5 mg of the active ingredient "Amlodipine", which belongs to a class of drugs called Calcium Channel Blockers. It works by dilating the blood vessels and reducing high blood pressure, while also improving the flow of blood and oxygen to the heart in cases of angina.

Glodep 5 mg Uses

Glodep tablets are used in the treatment of:

• Hypertension (High blood pressure).

• Angina Pectoris (Variant/Prinzmetal Angina), to reduce chest pain.

Glodep 5 Dosage

• Adults: The standard dose is 5 mg once daily, which the physician may increase to 10 mg once daily.

• Children and Adolescents (6 to 17 years): The dose is 2.5 mg once daily, which the physician may increase to 5 mg once daily.

Glodep 5 mg Side Effects

• Shortness of breath (Dyspnea).

• Irregular heartbeat (Arrhythmia).

• Headache.

• Dizziness.

• Fluid retention (Edema).

Contraindications

Glodep should not be used in the following cases:
