Forteo Dosage and Administration

• The recommended dose is 20 micrograms once daily, administered as a subcutaneous injection in the thigh or abdomen.

• It is preferable to inject at the same time each day.

• The treatment duration should not exceed 24 months.

• Only one treatment course, not exceeding 24 months, should be received in a lifetime.

• The pen should be used shortly after removal from the refrigerator.

• Current or previous history of kidney stones.

• Kidney impairment.

Storage

• Keep out of the reach of children.

• Store in the refrigerator at a temperature between 2°C and 8°C.

• The Forteo pen can be used for up to 28 days after the first injection, provided it is stored in the refrigerator between 2°C and 8°C.

• Do not freeze.

• The Forteo pen must be discarded after 28 days, even if it is not completely empty.
