Contrave Ingredients

Contrave contains:

  • Naltrexone Hydrochloride.

  • Bupropion Hydrochloride.

It works on areas of the brain that control food intake and energy use.

Contrave Uses

Contrave is used for individuals with obesity or overweight to assist in weight management, alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.

Contrave Dosage

Contrave must be taken according to a doctor's instructions. The typical escalation schedule is:

  • Week 1: One tablet daily in the morning.

  • Week 2: Two tablets daily; one in the morning and one in the evening.

  • Week 3: Three tablets daily; two in the morning and one in the evening.

  • Week 4 and onward: Two tablets twice daily; two in the morning and two in the evening.

  • Maximum Dose: Do not exceed two tablets twice daily (4 tablets total).

  • The medication should be taken with food.

  • Treatment should be discontinued if at least 5% of body weight has not been lost after 16 weeks.

Contraindications
