Canesten Antifungal Cream 20 g

Canesten Cream is used to treat a range of superficial fungal skin infections. It contains 1% clotrimazole, which helps inhibit the growth of fungi and yeasts responsible for infections. It is used to treat conditions such as ringworm, athlete’s foot, fungal intertrigo, and certain fungal infections affecting skin folds. It also helps relieve associated symptoms, including itching, redness, and irritation.

Canesten Cream Ingredients

• Active ingredient: Clotrimazole 1%, an antifungal agent that helps stop fungal growth and fight infection.

• Other ingredients: Benzyl alcohol, cetostearyl alcohol, sorbitan stearate, polysorbate 60, cetyl palmitate, octyldodecanol, and purified water.

How to Use Canesten Cream

Important: Even if your symptoms begin to improve or disappear, make sure to complete the full prescribed course of treatment to help eliminate the infection.

Precautions and Warnings

• Do not use this cream if you are allergic to clotrimazole or any of its ingredients.

• Do not use it to treat fungal infections of the nails or scalp.

• Avoid contact with the eyes. Stop using the cream and consult your doctor if severe irritation develops or your symptoms worsen.

• When applied to the genital area, the cream may reduce the effectiveness of latex condoms and other latex barrier contraceptives. An alternative method of contraception should be used for five days after application.

• If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, consult your doctor before use.

Side Effects

• The cream may cause localized burning or stinging, itching, redness, or skin irritation. Discontinue use and seek medical attention if signs of a severe allergic reaction occur.

• Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.

• Keep out of reach of children and away from sources of ignition, as cream residue on clothing and fabrics may increase their flammability.
