Medihoney Dressing Tulle 10 X 10 is an antibacterial honey dressing, sterile, non-adherent, made of strong fabric, used to promote wound healing and protect against infection.

Features of MEDIHONEY Tulle Dressing

The main features of MEDIHONEY Tulle medical dressing include:

  • Promotes wound healing by providing a moist environment suitable for healing.

  • Protects the wound from infection by creating an antibacterial barrier, including against antibiotic-resistant bacteria.

  • Rapid and effective in wound cleaning and debridement.

  • Quickly eliminates unpleasant odor.

  • Reduces the risk of bacterial infection.

Indications for MEDIHONEY Honey Dressings

MEDIHONEY can be used to promote wound healing and protect against bacterial infection in cases such as:

  • Foot or leg ulcers.

  • Pressure ulcers (bedsores).

  • Contaminated wounds.

  • Malodorous wounds.

  • Diabetic wounds.

  • Burns.

  • Superficial wounds, such as cuts, scratches, and abrasions.

  • Surgical wounds.

  • Necrotic wounds (containing dead tissue).

How to Use MEDIHONEY Tulle Dressing?

  • MEDIHONEY Tulle can be used at all stages of wound healing and does not stick to the wound, which reduces pain upon removal.

  • Place the MEDIHONEY dressing directly on the wound.

  • Additional dressings may be applied alongside or over it to cover larger or deeper wounds.

  • Another sterile secondary dressing should be applied over MEDIHONEY to efficiently absorb wound exudates.

  • The wound can be cleaned when changing the dressings or as directed by a physician.

Frequency of Use

  • MEDIHONEY dressing should be changed when diluted by wound exudates.

  • It can remain in place for up to 7 days depending on the level of wound exudate.

  • Heavily exuding wounds may require closer monitoring and possibly daily dressing changes.

Side Effects of MEDIHONEY Tulle

May cause a temporary stinging sensation upon application.

Contraindications

MEDIHONEY Tulle should not be used on burns or wounds in patients with hypersensitivity to its components.

Warnings and Precautions

  • If the stinging sensation persists and cannot be relieved with an analgesic after 30 minutes, remove the dressing and wash the affected area.

  • Use with extreme caution on heavily bleeding wounds.

  • A mild stinging sensation may occur due to the natural properties of honey, which does not harm the wound.

  • When applying the dressing to a dry wound, moistening the dressing may help facilitate removal.
