Merional 150 Iu 1 Vial is used to stimulate the ovaries in women and assist in treating infertility, as well as to increase sperm count in men with oligospermia or azoospermia.
Each Merional injection contains 150 IU of menotrophin, which helps stimulate fertility in both men and women and treat infertility.
Merional is used in cases of:
Anovulation or lack of ovarian response to clomiphene or similar medications
Women undergoing ovarian stimulation for assisted reproductive techniques (ART)
Men with oligospermia or azoospermia due to severe hormone deficiencies
The doctor determines the appropriate dose.
For anovulation: 75–150 IU daily; the doctor may adjust the dose based on response, with a maximum daily dose of 225 IU.
For ovarian stimulation for ART: 150–225 IU daily, starting on day 2 or 3 of the menstrual cycle; maximum daily dose is 450 IU.
For male oligospermia or azoospermia: 75–150 IU, 2–3 times per week; treatment may need to continue for at least three months before sperm increase is expected. The doctor may recommend continuing treatment for up to 18 months to achieve satisfactory results.
Merional injections are administered subcutaneously or intramuscularly.

Hypersensitivity to its components
Pituitary or hypothalamic tumors
Uterine, ovarian, or breast tumors
Ovarian cysts not caused by polycystic ovary syndrome
Ovarian failure
Premature menopause
Genital abnormalities or malformations
Unexplained vaginal bleeding
Pregnancy or breastfeeding
Testosterone deficiency in men
