Femoston 2/10Mg 28Tab is a hormone-regulating medication for women that helps relieve menopausal symptoms and reduce the risk of developing osteoporosis. It is a form of hormone replacement therapy (HRT).

Femoston Tablet Composition

Each Femoston tablet contains:

  • 2 mg Estradiol (estrogen)

  • 10 mg Dydrogesterone

Indications for Use

Femoston tablets are used to relieve discomfort during and after menopause, and they help with:

  • Reducing the risk of osteoporosis, which becomes more likely after menopause

  • Supporting long-term health or helping prevent heart disease

Do Femoston Tablets Prevent Pregnancy?

Femoston does not prevent pregnancy, nor does it restore fertility in women.

Femoston 2/10 How to Take

  • If your menstrual cycle is regular, start taking the medication on the first day of your period.

  • If your periods are irregular, consult your doctor to determine the correct starting day.

  • If you have not had a period in the past 12 months, you may begin taking Femoston immediately.

  • The usual dosage is one tablet daily.

  • The doctor will determine the appropriate duration of treatment.

Femoston 2/10 Side Effects

Femoston tablets may cause some side effects, such as:

  • Irregular vaginal bleeding

  • Breast pain

  • Period-like pain

  • Vaginal itching or inflammation

  • Headache

  • High blood pressure

  • Dizziness

  • Depression or mood changes

  • Weight gain or weight loss

  • Changes in libido

  • Back pain

Does Femoston Cause Weight Gain?

Weight gain is a possible side effect of Femoston.

Contraindications

Femoston should not be used in cases of:

  • Hypersensitivity to its components

  • History of hysterectomy

  • Breast cancer, endometrial cancer, or any estrogen-dependent cancer

  • Blood clots

  • Unexplained vaginal bleeding

  • Severe liver disease

  • Porphyria

  • Any condition that increases the risk of blood clots

  • Pregnancy planning or breastfeeding

Warnings and Precautions

Use with caution and consult your doctor before taking Femoston, especially if you have:

  • A family history of breast cancer

  • Breast lumps or cysts
