Ryzodeg contains Insulin Degludec/ Insulin Aspart with a 70/30 ratio, a drug based on the presence of long or medium-acting insulin with another fast-acting, which helps reduce blood sugar levels, especially since the drug effect may last beyond 24 hours.
Ryzodeg uses
Ryzodeg is used to treat diabetes in adults and children older than two years.
The doctor determines the appropriate dosage depending on the patient's needs.
Ryzodeg may be used once or twice a day with main meals along with other diabetes medications in the case of type 2 diabetes.
It is preferable to start with 10 units with meals in case of treatment for type 2 diabetes, or as determined by the doctor.
In the case of type 1 diabetes, Ryzodeg is used once per day with a main meal and a short/fast-acting insulin with the rest of the meals.
It is recommended that Ryzodeg represent 60 - 70% of the daily requirement for insulin at the beginning of treatment for type 1 diabetes.
Ryzodeg is used by subcutaneous injections, whether in the abdomen, upper arm or thigh, the site of the injection must be changed every time to avoid lipodystrophy.
