Rennie tablets contain calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate, which are antacids, which neutralizes excess stomach acid by turning it into water and other natural substances, helping to relieve heartburn.
Rennie tablets are used to treat:
heartburn.
indigestion.
Heartburn during pregnancy.
Rennie medication can relieve heartburn in pregnancy, but it is preferable to consult a doctor first before taking it.
The usual Rennie dose is 1-2 tablets initially, up to 3-4 tablets per day.
The drug is used for adults and older than 12 years.
Rennie's duration of treatment is limited to only 14 days.
Rennie intake is preferred after meals and before bedtime.
Nausea.
Vomiting.
Constipation.
Diarrhoea.
Stomach upset.
Rennie is used to relieve heartburn and indigestion, which are mainly stomach disorders and not colon.
Rennie tablets are not used for:
Hypersensitivity to the ingredients of the drug.
Hypercalcemia.
Kidney stones.
Severe renal insufficiency.
A doctor should be consulted before taking Rennie tablets, especially if you are taking other medications, it may affect their absorption or effectiveness, such as:
Antibiotics.
Digoxin.
Levothyroxine.
Thiazide diuretics.
Taking Rennie tablets should be separated from any other medication by 1 - 2 hours.
