Tegozol tablets are used alongside radiotherapy to treat certain types of brain tumors. The appropriate dosage is determined by the doctor based on the patient’s condition.
Each Tegozol tablet contains 100 mg of temozolomide, an active ingredient for treating brain tumors.
Adults: Newly diagnosed glioblastoma multiforme.
Children Over 3 Years: Malignant gliomas, such as glioblastoma multiforme or anaplastic astrocytoma, particularly in cases of tumor recurrence or progression.
The doctor determines the appropriate dosage based on the patient's condition.
The usual dose is once daily.
It is preferable to take the medication at the same time each day on an empty stomach.
Tegozol may cause some side effects, including:
Nausea.
Vomiting.
Headache.
Diarrhea.
Loss of appetite.
Hair loss.
Reduced blood cell counts.
Memory impairment.
Tegozol should not be used in the following cases:
Hypersensitivity to its components.
Low blood cell counts (e.g., platelets or white blood cells).
Allergy to dacarbazine, an anti-cancer drug.
Consult a doctor before taking Tegozol, especially in the following situations:
History of Hepatitis B infection.
Experiencing fever or general signs of infection.
Kidney or liver disease, as dosage adjustments may be necessary.
Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking Tegozol during pregnancy.
Use a contraception method during treatment and for six months after treatment ends.
Tegozol is not recommended during breastfeeding.
Keep out of reach of children.
Store at a temperature below 30°C.
Do not use the medication after its expiration date.
